BrazSonic 20XX – Way to the full version!

Howdy BrazSonic-fans!

Well, how long isn’t it? I’ve been walking a long way because of my personal and professional life it seems the older you get, the less time you have to do what you really enjoy.

In the last few days, I’ve been updating the Gamejolt and Twitter pages more with the latest content from the BrazSonic 20XX, even with some short videos showing some new skills and missions, which will have a great presence throughout the game. As for abilities, they are reminiscent of BrazSonic 2, which was canceled in 2015.

Since then, I haven’t released any 2021 DEMO++ updates since I’m focused on the full version of the game, which in itself has taken up a lot of free time. Fortunately, I can say that it is close to being finished, as we already have:

  • Story mode with all cutscenes
  • Quests implemented
  • Finished character skills and animations
  • Boss battles (including the implemented ending)
  • Load/save system working
  • Working unlockable content: stages, game modes, some characters

And as for what remains to finish the game yet:

  • Fix bugs pointed out by testers regarding the other demos, by the communities outside.
  • Rework some level layouts and improve the arts of some of them.
  • HARDCORE mode: with very difficult stages
  • Offline Multiplayer Mode: Battle, Delivery, and Soccer. 2 to 4 players can be played on split-screen.
  • Missions (2 per stage): putting out fires; rescuing animals;
  • Update BrazSonic Gallery with some old assets and fandom artworks.
  • Playable characters: due to the urgency to finish this project, I will have to remove some characters that I thought about putting, even to not take the focus away from the game itself.
  • A few extra phases that don’t require a lot of effort to implement.
  • System to unlock the rest of the characters.
  • English and Spanish translations for the cutscenes
