50k plays and New Brand OST

Hello BrazSoniquers, how are you?

Guys, I have some great news: BrazSonic 20XX has reached over 50,000 downloads in all this time! For me, this is an achievement, in all this time of the project, which although it wasn’t easy, attracted many fans and also fostered a community on Discord. BrazSonic 20XX started as a hobby, but it opened new doors for me to learn new things, meet people, discover talents, and bring culture and inspiration to the world.

Also, as you may have noticed in these last updates, one of the main changes was in the music of some of the game’s stages, such as Rio Hill, Concrete Jungle, Windy Plains, Diamond Valley, and Spring Bay. Before, the game had songs by Sonic, remixes, and other original works by OpenGameArt musicians.

But in the last few months, with the great and talented MisterGDA, who also has his own YouTube channel, with remixes and other quality original works. Now we have Callebe Duarte who is also producing some new songs.

In addition to the new songs, this latest update has:

  • Some improvements in Spanish and English translations;
  • Improvements in 16:9 and 4:3 resolutions
  • More information on the pause screen
  • Cheat code system
  • and other things that you can see in the project’s changelog

Last year, there weren’t many updates for BrazSonic 20XX, because the game itself is complete, and these updates were more focused on fixing errors and bugs that broke the gameplay, besides some light implementations like new levels and extra settings.

I’m going to take a break from the project, even to think about the future of the project, but don’t worry, I’m not going to abandon you!

I’m also changing the website’s server to a cheaper, more flexible service.

Thank you for everything!
