About the future…

Hello, BraSoniquers!

First of all, I want to bring you one final update for the game. We’ve fixed a serious bug that was affecting stage selection before beating the game. I went ahead and uploaded a hotfix yesterday to resolve this issue (shoutout to @LucasdeOliveira_65a9 for reporting it), and you can download it right now on the BrazSonic 20XX download page!

Along with this fix, I’ve also included amazing new tracks for Wetlands Warpath Act 2 (LunaTH), Congress Calamity Act 3 (LunaTH), Fiery Rainforest Zone Boss (LunaTH), and the Boss Theme (MisterGDA).

But what now? What lies ahead?

After dedicating a lot of time to this project—even after the official launch back in 2023—I kept working behind the scenes to fix bugs and bring new updates. Without a doubt, the biggest addition was our soundtrack, which now features completely original productions made by an extremely talented and hard-working crew: PVic, MisterGDA, Callebe Duarte, Sonic_Cadeirante and LunaTH. A huge thank you to them.

BrazSonic 20XX wasn’t just born to fill the gap of what would have been BrazSonic 2; it was a way for me to put my ideas into practice and deliver a much more polished and mature game than the 2004 original. Watching this project come to life also built an incredible community on YouTube and Discord. There, besides finding massive support for the game, I had the privilege of making new friends and genuine connections.

The journey of BrazSonic 20XX is now complete. I am incredibly happy to know that it left its mark on this post-pandemic era, bringing a little more joy and inspiration to your lives.

Time moves on, and today, I am in a different phase of my life. My current focus has shifted toward new professional paths (not necessarily in game development). Because of this, this final step also marks my farewell to the project.

I want to leave here my most sincere thank you to everyone who played, supported, critiqued, and cheered for BrazSonic. None of this would have made sense without you.

I wish you all nothing but the absolute best, always.

Warm regards, Bruno
